We’ve discovered that some teachers delivering the Tócuaro study unit never saw the original Worldaware/Geographical Association KS1 Picture Pack Teacher’s Book. Apart from much else, it contains an excellent introductory page on the village with a clear map of the region; for 2 full-colour maps that project well on whiteboards, follow the map links below.

Local resources: a teacher in Chesham, Bucks., bought a traditional Mexican bark painting at a local craft shop, and used it as a resource for her pupils to create their own paintings on a Mexican wedding theme.
