Aztec gardens

ORIGINAL QUESTION received from - and thanks to - Kate Adams Tee: I am a mature student of Garden Design at Sparsholt College near Winchester and currently researching gardens/design in South America. I am fascinated by your website and will recommend it to my childrens’ respective schools. However, I can find little to help my own investigations. Are you able to recommend some sources of information about Gardens created by the Aztecs, Incas, colonial settlers, contemporary designers and any significant periods between? I am keen to see how traditional styles would have withstood the intervening period and are perhaps now being reconstructed. I am finding this a tough assignment! Any information would be very greatly appreciated. Many thanks for your time.
