Where WAS the Sunstone [in Aztec times]? Asked by Highgate School (Juniors). Chosen and answered by Professor Khristaan Villela.

We think it was located near the base of the Templo Mayor, or Great Temple, in the capital of Tenochtitlan, now downtown Mexico City. It most likely was mounted flat, like an altar, and not hung on a wall.
